October 1st, 2007: This Saturday I helped Jason Eppink, his sister, his friend Heather, and Posterchild collaborate with some art for Nuit Blanche (an all-night art show that happened in downtown Toronto). We made some COOL ART. I will link to photos when they are up! I thought Nuit Blanche itself was fun but there were a lot of exhibits and installations that I thought were better described than realized. Still: GOOD TIMES.
Sunday was Word on the Street Festival, where I hosted several talks at the Young Adult tent and then was on a panel about comics and the internet. Ryan Couldrey took a great shot here of my friend Jim getting caught in his web of lies. It's a really fantastic photo. It almost looks staged because of how nicely it's framed. I have water in my mouth. ALSO PICTURED: friends John from Drawn and Nadine.
If you went to Word on the Street I'm sure you enjoyed it!
Hey, my new book Romeo and/or Juliet comes out in less than a month! It's my choose-your-own-path version of the Shakespeare play featuring tons of great illustrations. To celebrate - and to also convince you to purchase it! - I've posted the first page, and every day we vote on which option to follow. We're doing a LET'S PLAY ROMEO AND/OR JULIET and you should totally join us!
