Image description: This comic tells basically the same story twice. The first part uses the standard template and similar vector graphics and/or pixel art. The second part uses hand-drawn pictures. Originally, at https://qwantz.com/20040402.html, there was a "Choose your Universe" screen with one panel from each version, with title texts: "COMPUTER GENERATED UNIVERSE WHERE TECHNOLOGY RULES SUPREME" and "hand-drawn universe where we sometimes talk about our feelings". Each universe was on a separate page, and the e-mail subject text is a little different on the second one, as one could expect
T-Rex: I am such a great T-Rex!
T-Rex: In fact, I must be the greatest T-Rex in the world!
T-Rex: Hey, Dromiceiomimus! Look at me as I crush this small building! Don't you think I possess the greatest building crushing form in the world?
Dromiceiomimus: It's ok. I guess...
T-Rex: What? By "ok", do you mean GREAT? And by "I guess", do you mean "know with absolute certainty? If so, then I agree!
T-Rex: Utahraptor! Take a look at what I'm going to do to this unsuspecting woman!
Utahraptor: Huh?
T-Rex: My stomp exhibits far more grace than any other T-Rex! Just another example of why I'm the greatest!
Utahraptor: It was a pretty good...stomp... I suppose. But you're not the greatest T-Rex. That title belongs to Steve on the other side of the river.
T-Rex: What!?
T-Rex: I must defeat him!
Narrator: STEVE, THE GREATEST T-REX IN THE WORLD COMICS
Steve: 〚who looks exactly like T-Rex〛 Ah! Another fine day!
Steve: Time to go about my daily routine in a humble unassuming fashion, as is my way!
Steve: Good morning, Larry!
Larry: 〚who looks exactly like Dromiceiomimus〛 Hey, Steve! What are you up to today?
Steve: Nothing much! Right now I'm about to humbly stomp on this building without assuming ANYTHING!
Larry: Good for you!
Steve: Now I'm going to step on this woman! But I'll certainly feel pangs of remorse for the rest of the day.
Dave: 〚who looks exactly like Utahraptor〛 How noble!
Steve: Oh! Hi Dave!
Dave: A lesser T-Rex would probably deign to boast about flattening a woman, and yet you feel remorse. You truly are the greatest T-Rex in the world!
Steve: Reluctant as I am to admit it, that may very well be the case! I guess I am the greatest!
Steve: But then, why am I so sad?
Narrator: T-Rex's soul cried out in pain as he thought of the possibility of something being greater than he. He could not bear to live being mediocre.
Narrator: So he worked tirelessly, seeking to iron out any possible failing he could find, until he had improved to a point of satisfaction. Finally, he could cross the bridge to the other side of the river and prove his superiority over Steve.

Narrator: And oh What a bridge it was! Lined with tiles of shining gold! And to his side- a row of trees That dazzled his eyes with their radiant leaves And the gold and the trees and the river below
Narrator: Did combine with its surroundings forming beauties once unknown
Narrator: And as T-Rex walked he fell to his knees and cried "I am truly blessed to witness sites such as these"
Narrator: Finally, T-Rex arrived on the other side of the river. He met Steve, and he was so thorough in proving his superiority that Steve fled to a valley where spent the rest of his days lamenting his existence.

Narrator: Then back to the bridge that he loved! Lined with the tiles of shimmering gold
Narrator: Dazzling his eyes with the radiant leaves that once sat upon the rows of majestic trees
Narrator: And certainly the river below Which unites with its surroundings forming beauties once unknown...

Steve: But then, why do I feel so empty inside?
Narrator: Meanwhile...
Narrator: The thought of Steve on the other side of the river burned in T-Rex's mind and he spent countless days thinking of ways to defeat him.
Narrator: Finding that he couldn't trust in any quick solution, T-Rex focused all of his time on improving himself, until he had reached what he deemed to be near dino perfection. Finally satisfied, he set off for the bridge that led to the other side of the river.
Narrator: And Oh! What a bridge it was! Set upon a fine arcade Which still maintains its pristine design Save for some weathering from the waves
Narrator: And lining the floor were golden tiles Which caught the sun in magnificent ways And sparkled in such amazing fashions they'd set one's heart into a daze
Narrator: And what occupied the scenery? A most wonderful land of greenery Which cast a spell from 'neath the trees that shot out twisting towards the sky then boomeranged down into one's eye
Narrator: And in such enchantment did T-Rex see the fortune of finding such beauty And so he thought to himself - quite pleased - There can be no one as blessed as me...
Narrator: T-Rex arrived on the other side of the river. So thoroughly did he proof his superiority that Steve fled to a valley where he spent the rest of his days lamenting his existence.
Narrator: Then back to the bridge he loved! Set upon a fine arcade Wonderfully layered with golden tiles that catch light in most magnificent ways
Narrator: And oh! The beautiful greenery that occupies the scenery and lets all those it enchants to see there can be no one as blessed as he...
