Hi everyone. The Dinosaur Comics feed has moved to http://www.rsspect.com/rss/qwantz.xml, so you'll need to go there to get your updates from now on! Actually it moved over a year ago, but I finally decided to stop updating this feed and have all the updates in one place. So, hopefully you'll subscribe to that feed! Thanks for reading my comics.

May 21st 2007: The Dinosaur Comics Songfight competition will probably be posting the songs today! I did some cover art for it but others have too and it's pretty rad!

T-Rex has a Facebook profile now, and he now has several hundred friend requests pending. Facebook actually gave up and just decided that he has infinity pending friend requests. This might take a while. If you've added T-Rex please be patient and I'll I mean he'll try to get to them all today!

originally t-rex was going to break into the radio station instead, commandeering it for a batman call-in show ''that the public demands'', but i didn't want to have him to spend his 1000th comic in jail :(

May 18th 2007: Hey I'm going to be at a few cons in the next few weeks! Next weekend (from the 25th to the 27th) I'll be at Anime North, and you should come! We can exchange high fives and also hugs that linger for JUST A LITTLE TOO LONG. And in a few weeks (June 8th to 10th) me and a bunch of Dayfree people will be at Paradise Comics, and you should totally come out to that too, because in the hugs will just get lingerier. That's right. Lingerier is a word now. And a few weeks after THAT I'll be in NYC for the MoCCA Arts Festival, June 23rd and 24th. If you are wanting to break into my house that would be a good day to do it, except that I have roommates so maybe you shouldn't break into my house. Please don't break into my house.

Also, TORONTONIANS: what are you doing tonight? If you are like me you are attending a screening of the locally-filmed movie Infest Wisely, which is all about NANITES and BAD DECISIONS. It's on U of T's campus tonight at 7pm and tickets are only five dollars! If you are not a Torontonian the film will be released soon for free online, so you'll be able to check it out then! I saw a rough cut and enjoyed it muchly.

The University of Chicago Scavenger Hunt is probably the largest scavenger hunt in the world. Number 223 on this year's list is to get the Hunt or your team mentioned by a webcomic with at least a year's worth of archives. Team Psycho Refraction Party, T.A.C.O.S., Antepenultimatum, and Team Samosa: The Llama's Revenge were the first four to email me, and I am more than happy to help them get the 13 points! THE HUNT ENDS SUNDAY.

You should check out the list of things to scavenge: it makes me wish I was a student there! I WOULD HAVE BEEN SUCH A GOOD GUY FOR ITEM 268. i've got them right here

May 10th 2007: My buddy Posterchild made a video documenting what it's like to go out and put up street art at night. The video is about forty minutes long, but pretty interesting! He is wearing is secret identity astronaut suit, which is something I too would like to have.

May 7th 2007: I hope everyone who made it out to Free Comic Book Day had a good time! It was great at The Beguiling in Toronto and thanks to near-constant sunscreen usage, I did not even get burnt. Sorry to everyone who got a sunscreen-greasy handshake! Normally my handshakes are like ice: cool, firm, and refreshing. Also there's a lot of them at the poles. Penguins live on them.

Scott McCloud gave a talk yesterday in Toronto and it was really interesting and engaging - not to mention the introductary talk given by his daughter, Sky! The whole family is on a 50 states tour, so while if you're in the US the odds are that you've already missed out as they are on state 32 thus far, the odds are also pretty good that there is still hope and you could see a really interesting talk on the nature of comics. Scott will be at The Beguiling tonight at 6pm to do a signing, and if you're in the city I recommend you drop by!

this is the second instance of a soggy dog popping up dinosaur comics. it may be the rhetorical iconography of a new generation.

I meant to mention yesterday: I'll be at The Beguiling in Toronto for Free Comic Book Day, but if you're in Halifax, you should definitely check out Strange Adventures, because amazing people will be there! Your friend and mine Andy "Owly" Runton will be there, as well as the charming and polite Darwyn Cooke, the talented Hope Larson, and the huggable Bryan Lee O'Malley!

Also if you're in Toronto, Scott McCloud will be speaking on Sunday May 6th at 7:30! You can pick up tickets at The Beguiling in advance or at the door, but I'd do it in advance because it's likely to sell out. I'll be there! This is a really rare chance to see a great comics theorist speak locally.

And if you're in NEW YORK CITY, then tonight you could go out to the Webcomics meet up and meet some cool people and talk shop!
