T-Rex: There are certain genres that fan fiction hits more than most! We're all familiar with taking existing characters and, oh I don't know...
T-Rex: ...putting them in an ALTERNATE UNIVERSE where they all work in a COFFEE SHOP??
T-Rex: But there's also Hurt/Comfort, where you take existing characters, hurt one, and then - THEN - another character comforts them.
Dromiceiomimus: Wow! Is there Hurt/No Comfort?
T-Rex: Yes!
T-Rex: You SICKO!!
Utahraptor: And you mention this because...?
T-Rex: Because we should swap!
T-Rex: Fan fiction and video games should SWITCHAROO their genres for a bit - it'd freshen BOTH up! I'd love a Saved By The Bell real-time strategy story, or play a coffee shop hurt/comfort version of Wii Sports. Let's do it! Let's better ourselves AND elevate art by swapping commonly used genres!
Narrator: LATER:
T-Rex: Call of Duty got WAY more interesting when it shifted to "pining, angst, enemies to lovers, slowburn, touch starved" tags.
Off panel: Honestly, I could NOT agree more.
T-Rex: It is a fully objective improvement!
