What are the haps my friends
February 22nd, 2008: A few people emailed me about Jess Fink's art theft story (see below!) saying that yeah, it looked bad, but what about Natalie Dee's comic here? I think that's actually a good example of an important difference. Natalie and Jess both came up with the idea of "soap talking about washing butts", and I think there's room on the planet for two riffs on that idea.

That's different from Hot Topic's shirt, which is both the same idea and the same realization of the idea: same soap, same improbable colour, same position, same body. One is two people thinking in parallel lines, while the other is one person copying another.
