January 15th, 2008: Rich pointed me to Lasagna Cat, which takes Garfield comics, re-enacts them, shows the original comics, and then riffs on the re-enactment. All the episodes end with the same portrait of Jim Davis. I like it! It can sometimes veer into "weird for weird's sake", but it does set its own rhythm and it works really well. This coupled with comics with Garfield's dialogue removed and the Garfield randomizer makes me begin to suspect that Garfield might be, in a few decades and against all odds, the inspiration for a fair chunk of popular culture.

To celebrate - and to also convince you to purchase it! - I've posted the first page, and every day we vote on which option to follow. We're doing a LET'S PLAY ROMEO AND/OR JULIET and you should totally join us!

One year ago today: my one regret as a computer scientist is that we never have a reasonable excuse to wear lab coats. what gives, society?
