What are the haps my friends
January 22nd, 2009: Thank you to everyone who let me know that in some parts of the world, "getting brained" means oral sex! This gives yesterday's comic some confusing subtext, but if you are someone who is into teacup / dinosaur action, then yesterday's comic may have opened some startling new vistas for you.

Carrie also let me know that using "brained" to mean "hit in the head" dates back to Shakespeare times ("Zounds, an I were now by this rascal, I could brain him with his lady's fan.", 1 Hen. IV, II. iii. 24), so we need to come up with some new slang here, everyone! Shakespeare is either pre-inventing our slang, or coming up with weird and intriguing new ways to go down on someone. Either way the rest of us look bad!!
