T-Rex: In my experience, asking someone who's angry if they're mad tends just to make them angrier! But GOOD NEWS: I've come up with a better solution:
T-Rex: Asking them if they're just doing a bit!
T-Rex: NOW when someone is furious, I'll simply imply that I cannot tell if they're serious or not, and it's CERTAIN to calm them down.
Dromiceiomimus: You think so, huh?
T-Rex: I'm giving them the out of COMEDY, effectively allowing them to declare their emotional outburst as non-canon! Who WOULDN'T take such a lifeline??
Utahraptor: Angry people?
T-Rex: ...Huh.
T-Rex: Well, I'm gonna keep at it. If someone yells at me, I'll calmly ask if they're doing a bit. If they get angrier, I'll compliment them on their commitment to the bit. When they become apoplectic I'll start giggling and saying how much I appreciate this fun bit!!
Narrator: LATER: THINGS GO WRONG FOR T-REX, SOME IN WAYS HE EXPECTED AND OTHERS IN WAYS THAT ARE BOTH NEW AND TROUBLING
T-Rex: I gotta give it up for reality's commitment to the bit!!
T-Rex: Ha ha
