Utahraptor: But what if this universe IS the only one there is?

T-Rex: Well, there's always the chance that our best understanding of the cosmological expansion is wrong, and the universe will one day start to shrink, collapsing into a new singularity and then maybe even a new big bang, giving us a NEW universe from the remains of this one.
