T-Rex: Certain things are intrinsically good: they're good to have for no other reason than they're simply good to have. For example: knowledge!
T-Rex: It's good to have knowledge, just for its own sake!
T-Rex: And yeah, there are bad ways to GET knowledge - most philosophers would agree you shouldn't murder people because you heard the knowledge that "murder is bad and makes you feel bad" is best acquired personally - but that doesn't stop knowledge ITSELF from being good. Anyway, that's intrinsic goods; now you know!
Utahraptor: Come on, T-Rex - they're not UNIVERSAL!
T-Rex: They intrinsically are!
Utahraptor: Dude, an environmentalist would say nature is an intrinsic good, while Buddhists say enlightenment is, while utilitarianism says that pleasure is! "Intrinsic" is often culturally and morally relative, and only reflects the central precepts of one's philosophy!
T-Rex: 〚thinks〛 I want to swear but that is intrinsically bad
T-Rex: FRIG!
T-Rex: 〚thinks〛 That's still kind of a swear but I gotta be me
