T-Rex: In Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, AND Jainism, there's the concept of "Ahimsa" -
T-Rex: - of doing no harm to ALL living things!
Dromiceiomimus: This is true! I'm with you so far, T-Rex.
T-Rex: And thanks to modern science, we know our bodies are not singular and indivisible things, but rather collections of discrete living beings, including bacteria!
Dromiceiomimus: Still with you, though somewhat reluctantly.
T-Rex: And some of these bacteria live in our guts and help us digest food!
Utahraptor: Keep going!
T-Rex: And so in order to HELP those bacteria, I should eat chocolate, thereby enabling the chocolate-loving parts of my gut biome to not JUST avoid starvation and death - but to THRIVE. Thus spake ethics, morality, AND religion!!
T-Rex: And THAT is how you turn eating chocolate into a moral imperative.
Off panel: You're good, T-Rex.
T-Rex: I'm VERY good, Utahraptor!!
