T-Rex: When you look at the past's vision of what the future will look like, you notice they get a lot of things wrong!
T-Rex: OBVIOUSLY! They're jabronis who chose to get born in the past; what do you expect??
T-Rex: BUT what's fascinating is when they get CLOSE, but with the wrong technology. I read one vision of the year 2000 (written over a century beforehand) that had something very close to music on demand, but rather than playing recorded songs, there were dozens of live orchestras constantly playing in major cities, and multiple tubes that brought their sound to houses. You opened the tube that you wanted to listen to!
Utahraptor: Right idea, wrong execution!
T-Rex: Exactly!
T-Rex: Maybe OUR future is the same: we assume it'll be computer-based, but instead it's, say, biological! Spaceships made of muscle, iPads of meat, killer robots made of bones and teeth held together by sinew! Everyone in the future is walking around saying "wow, was this REALLY the best we could manage?"
Off panel: "It's disturbing to me, and I live here! I shudder to think of what cool dinosaurs named T-Rex and Utahraptor from a century ago might think if they could see this!"
T-Rex: "Aw man, now I'm being murdered by roaming gangs of teethbots!"
Off panel: "SHEESH!"
