January 19th, 2007: My friend Posterchild made a really cool stencil animation, called "The Departed Astronaut". He did it by stenciling the frames each on a piece of paper, using a stencil puppet for the titular astronaut, and then shooting them to animate! You end up with a really cool old-timey style. THEN, he pasted up all the frames he'd created all in a line along a city block: it's more than 200m of stencils, as you can see in the pictures, and
